How to Prepare Your Essay For College Application
How to Prepare Your Essay For College ApplicationWhen I was taking the ACT in elementary school, the section about the essay was actually a bit of a struggle. My opinion is that it's important to take time to write an excellent essay, but some students struggle to write it at all. While it is not easy to write a great essay, there are certain key components that you need to focus on if you're looking to put together a really good essay.First, consider what a role you have to play in the story. When writing an essay, don't try to cover everything. Instead, only make sure to include the core of the story, and try to give an overall message or reason as to why your writing is valuable. While there's no hard and fast rule for this, students tend to struggle with giving information that is essential in the writer's mission.Secondly, when you're writing your essay, be sure to focus on telling your story and making it the focus of your essay. After all, the point of your essay is to gain ad mission to a college or university, so making the most of your time on the ACT, whether you're taking it alone or with a friend, is a must. As a result, make sure that you emphasize the important part of your application and focus on getting your 'A' out of the box.Third, as mentioned before, don't forget about the final subject of your essay. This is extremely important, especially since you will be applying to as many colleges as possible. Don't forget to stress out about your love for your chosen field and the good things that come from it. In addition, it will also help if you reflect on your own experiences and what makes you a great fit for the college you want to attend. The last tip on how to prepare your essay, make sure that you get yourself as much information as possible on your chosen subject. This means taking the time to do thorough research and gathering information from your classmates, teachers, coaches, etc. Make sure to compile as much information as possible, and don't just stop at a vague answer that says you have a B. In order to get into your top choice, make sure that you actually dig deep into the weeds to find the information that you need.So when are you ready to start putting your thinking pieces together? For me, the best time to write an essay is during the first week of the semester. Since you'll be following a strict timeline of essays, take your time and be patient when putting together your essay.Once you start the process, keep in mind that you have an appropriate deadline to make sure that you're on top of it. Without a strict deadline, you might put off the process to the last minute, which may not make the cut for your college!
